Since the installation of our first filter air scour system in the early 1900’s, the Roberts Filter Group has remained constant in our belief that dedicated air scour systems offer the most reliable and operator-friendly approach to providing an auxiliary air scour system in your gravity or pressure filter system.
Many water treatment plants report a 40% to 60% reduction in backwash water usage after converting from surface wash to air scour. Additional benefits include a reduction in the post backwash turbidity spike and filter to waste durations. 
All of Roberts’ air systems utilize unitized air diffusers to assure excellent distribution and to resist fouling. Other systems use laser or water-jet cut slots which can be inconsistent in size and can allow fouling and poor distribution. The ARIES Managed Air Scour System is unique in the industry because it can be installed through your existing filter media. The system can be installed in most filters in one (1) day.
