Pilot Testing
Before making a substantial investment in a new facility or in modification to an existing facility, Roberts believes strongly in the value of on-site pilot testing. The investment in pilot testing typically assures a smooth plant start-up, shortened process optimization time, and more accurate long-term operation and maintenance cost projections. Roberts maintains the ability to pilot test all of our processes and equipment. We offer fully-manned pilot studies and pilot equipment rental. Some of the processes we frequently pilot include:

Raw Water Analysis
Prior to pilot testing, a raw water analysis will often help you identify appropriate processes and technologies. Roberts' experienced field personnel will assist with gathering the appropriate raw water samples and then provide analysis through written process recommendations.
Plant Inspections and Plant Optimization
After over 120 years of plant design, construction and operation, Roberts is uniquely qualified to provide a 3rd party review and evaluation of your facility. Our experienced field service engineers will verify compliance with both industry standards and Roberts’ own design criteria. Plant inspections include pre- and post-treatment, filtration, chemical dosages and application, controls and residual handling. Following a complete inspection, Roberts Engineering will provide a list or recommendations for plant optimization.
Filter Inspections
Roberts has performed thousands of filter inspections over the past 120 years. Our experience and knowledge with all types of filter processes and equipment makes us a leader in providing this important service. Annual filter inspections will assure a long and trouble-free filter life and will help you maintain the optimum and most cost effective operation of the your final treatment barrier.
Plant Rehabilitation
No company in the United States has rehabilitated more gravity filters than the Roberts Filter Group and our subsidiaries. With literally millions of square feet of filters rehabilitated over the past century, we are the most qualified rehabilitation company in the world. Our full-time construction superintendents work exclusively in and around water treatment facilities. They understand the unique challenges and limitations of performing filter rehabilitations at a functioning water treatment facility. From filter media change-outs to filter component replacements, Roberts full time construction superintendents will provide the highest quality service. All of our filter rehabilitations include a minimum 1 year warranty on parts and service.
Turnkey Operations
Roberts’ Certified Operators can provide full or part time facility operations. Whether through design/build/operate partnerships or in response to unique, emergency situations within a municipality or private utility, Roberts has the trained personnel to address your staffing needs.
