Pacer II -- Weaverville, California

Pacer II is a family of prefabricated modular and package dual-treatment water plants that deliver a proven capability for solving difficult treatment problems, including turbidity, color, iron, manganese, taste, odor, as well as waterborne disease causing organisms. Pacer II is utilized in locations where raw water turbidity is low to moderate. In a two-step treatment process, Pacer II provides an upflow contact clarifier followed by a polishing filter. Chemically treated water in the conta clarifier passes through granular media. Consuming 80% less land than conventional plants, Pacer II delivers significant capital cost savings through its compact size and modular design.

The Roberts Filter Group team spoke to Tim Kasper, the General Manager at Weaverville Community Services District about his experience with the Pacer and Roberts Filter Group.

“The well is working quite well, way better than the other active flow unit. It is "top notch" and is well designed, therefore they are making much cleaner water. […] The filters themselves have been great. The people from Roberts who were there for the install were great, Andre stood out the most, though I was disappointed he had to leave. Weaverville is pleased with the Pacer II and would install it again.” - Tim Kasper, General Manager at Weaverville Community Services District.
